Playing Video Games is a daytime option unlocked the first time you speak with [[Information Broker|Aesop]]. It is primarily used to raise [[Attribute:speed]]. Video Games may include scenes with NPCs if you have enough [[Mechanic:Attraction and Affection|Affection]] with them.

You will be prompted whether or not to purchase a new game for $50. If you do, you have a chance to gain 1 speed if you are below the cap. The speed cap is (Level / 4) + 7. If you do not purchase a new game, you cannot gain speed.

The chance to gain speed decreases with your current speed, increases with your current [[Attribute:perception]], and increases for each failure (including times when you didn't pay for a new game) since your last success. The chance to gain speed starts at around 1/3 with default stats (5 speed and 5 perception). After 3 failures, it will have increased to around a 1/2 chance, and after 9 failures, it will have increased to a 2/3 chance. It never increases to a 100% chance.
