Attributes

Attributes are the primary source of character abilities in the game. Putting points into attributes unlocks new skills, traps, traits, and other abilities, and makes existing abilities stronger. As characters progress, they unlock access to new attributes that can augment their powers even further.

Basic Attributes

Basic attributes are available from the start. These attributes can be raised at level-up and from other daytime activities with NPCs.

Passive Attributes

Passive attributes are available from the start, but unlike basic attributes, cannot be raised by leveling and do not unlock skills. For the most part, they can only be modified by daytime activities.

  • Perception: Alter awareness of and sensitivity to the world
  • Speed: Increase reflexes and accuracy

Advanced Attributes

Advanced attributes become available by meeting trainers. All except Submission require the character to reach Rank 1. Once at least one point has been learned, they can be raised on level-up.

  • Animism: Use an animal spirit to become more powerful at high arousal
  • Arcane: Use magic to access a wide variety of utility skills
  • Dark: Use dark magic to secure advantages at the cost of arousal
  • Discipline: Use self control to control opponents
  • Fetishism: Manipulate status effects on oneself and opponents
  • Ki: Use stances to re-balance damage and stats
  • Science: Use gadgets to inflict damage and status effects
  • Ninjutsu: Use tools and stealth for a variety of utility skills
  • Submission: Manipulate targets into assuming dominance, only to turn the tables

Specialization Attributes

Specialization attributes are late game attributes, unlockable after reaching Rank 4. Each character can only learn one.

The morning after reaching Rank 4, Maya will contact the player character with a message from The Benefactor. At this point, Maya is unlocked for daytime activities, and can give you your first point in any specialization. Once a specialization is learned, Maya can change your specialization, but further points can only be earned at level-up.
